“I will be facilitating four 1 1/2 hour sessions titled Source and Summit: The Liturgy of the World.  These sessions explore the basis for prioritizing Karl Rahner’s Liturgy of the World so as to more effectively celebrate the Liturgy of the Church. The sessions examine why God’s grace and loving presence are found in the Liturgy of the World and its intimate connection with the Liturgy of the Church.
The four sessions will be held in person at Church of the Nativity, 3800 W 119th St, Leawood, KS 66209, on Wednesday Evenings, Sept. 18, 25, Oct. 2, 9, 2024; 7-8:30pm  and repeated on Thursday Mornings, Sept. 19, 26, Oct. 3, 10 2024; 10-11:30am.   A PDF flier is attached with further information about the sessions, as well as a more brief announcement suitable for bulletins. I will also be facilitating four 2 hour sessions on The Women of the Gospels. These sessions explore gospel attitudes toward women, by examining numerous gospel texts in which women play a role. The gospels reflect the rich diversity of first century Judaism, especially in the stories about women and the significant roles that they play in the life of Jesus. The gospels according to Luke and John will be highlighted, examining the different ways in which the gospel writers characterized and imaged women and their roles.

The four sessions will be held in person through the Village U Fall classes at Village Presbyterian Church Mission Campus, 6641 Mission Rd. Prairie Village, KS 66208, phone # 913-262-4200, on Monday evenings Sept. 23, 30, Oct. 7, 14, 2024 from 6:30-8:30pm in Rooms 232/233.   Attached is the Village U Fall
