This Sunday is the Second Sunday of Advent. Fr. Garry Richmeier shares his reflection. Please see attached 2nd Sunday of Advent Bulletin.

We continue to livestream our 10:00 AM Sunday Mass, reaching out to parishioners and friends who are in hospitals, in nursing homes or housebound. In addition, the availability of the livestream Sunday Mass is for those who may be pregnant, parents of unvaccinated children, immunocompromised and unvaccinated individuals. Here is the link to the livestream: Facebook Page of St. James Midtown KC. Recording of the livestreamed Mass can be accessed at – https://stjkc.org/sundays-at-st-james.

May we invite those who can attend the Sunday Mass in-person to join us in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in St. James KC. Masks in St. James are strongly recommended as flu and Covid-19 cases have risen.

REMINDERS:

  • This Sunday, December 4th, you are encouraged to attend an important Faith Formation Sunday conversation after Mass in Marian Hall. Lewis Diuguid will be the facilitator. Topic: From Diversity to Inclusion and Belonging: Session II. Lewis will continue our examination using Empathy as a vehicle to better know one another.
  • We will have the Advent Penance Service on Tuesday, Dec. 6th, at 7pm here in church.  Several priests will be available for individual confessions.
  • Please join us for the Immaculate Conception Mass, December 8, at St. Therese Little Flower Church, 5814 Euclid Ave. KCMO, at NOON.
  • KC Welcome Alliance (KCWA) needs your help to welcome the refugees and asylum seekers arriving on December 13 at 5:30AM. If you are interested, please go to the website: KCWelcomeAlliance.org.
