Adult Faith Formation

The Christian Formation Team plans and assesses ways to help form the St. James Community in its essential identity as baptized followers of Jesus. Christian Formation covers ongoing formation for adults, catechists and sacramental preparation for youth and children. The Team provides the community faith formation that draws from the scriptural, doctrinal and liturgical treasures of the church.

On the 3rd Sunday of the month, the parish is invited to gather in Marian Hall for a light lunch followed by a speaker and lively discussion.

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children are invited to come forward at the beginning of Mass so they can be dismissed to study the Word at their own level. All children present for mass are welcome including visitors. Parents, teachers and teen helpers who would like to help with this ministry are invited to contact Mimi Harman by phone or email. Children’s dismissal for breaking open the Word takes place September through May.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A.) is a formal process by which parishioners journey along with those interested in learning about the Catholic Church.  This is a great opportunity for faith sharing and evangelization for everyone.
