We are invited as a parish community to join the members of St. Francis Xavier on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of the month for a Public Witness for Racial Equity. We will join St. Francis at 52nd and Troost Ave from 4:30-5:50 with signs of support for our African-American sisters and brothers. We will have a brief prayer following our hour of witness. This Friday’s prayer will focus on the anniversary of the Springfield Race Riots of 1908 and the prayer on the 28th will focus on the anniversary of Emmitt Till’s death and MLK’s I Have a Dream speech.
