May we invite those who can attend the Sunday Mass in-person to join us in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in St. James KC. Fr. Garry Richmeier will be our celebrant.
Considering that many parishioners are still suffering the effects of the Covid virus, we recommend masking if you plan to attend Mass in-person this Sunday.
We continue to livestream our 10:00 AM Sunday Mass, reaching out to parishioners and friends who are in hospitals, in nursing homes or housebound. In addition, the availability of the livestream Sunday Mass is for those who may be pregnant, parents of unvaccinated children, immunocompromised and unvaccinated individuals. Here is the link to the livestream: Facebook Page of St. James Midtown KC. Recording of the livestreamed Mass can be accessed at https://stjkc.org/sundays-at-st-james.
PARISH-WIDE MEETING SUMMARY
St. James parishioners attending December 15th parish-wide meeting advanced a proposal to develop and nurture a community-led model. After introducing this concept, the transition team facilitated a discussion and answered questions about the roles of our newly defined parish leader and our parishioners. At the completion of the discussion and questions, parishioners were asked to rate their level of agreement in a consensus activity. Those present indicated medium to strong agreement with no indications of opposition. We’re moving forward! Below is the link to the video of the meeting.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! St. James will conduct parish-wide meetings following Mass on the third Sunday of each month. We will address topics that impact St. James and its future. ALL ARE STRONGLY ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
The transition team is composed of Father Don Farnan, Martha Belker, Bill Cordaro, Ben Babaran, and Diane Etzel-Wise at the current time.
