The fire was ablazing! What a beautiful site. The paschal candle was lit and carried in procession to the church where each person’s candle was lit from the light of Christ.
Bob sang the Exodus reading: “Sing the Song of Freedom; God has won the victry; horse and chariot are cast into the sea.” While the congregation clapped, the refrain kept repeating.
The final refrain lays out an Easter challenge for us: “horse and chariot, fear and loneliness, death and emptiness are cast into the sea.”
But we know Our Lord lives and in Him we have our hope that all will be cast into the sea!
