This Sunday is the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the Universe. Ben Babaran shares his reflection. Please see attached Solemnity of Christ the King Bulletin.
May we invite those who can attend the Sunday Mass in-person to join us in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist in St. James KC. Fr. Garry Richmeier will be our celebrant.
Considering that many parishioners are still suffering the effects of the Covid virus, we recommend masking if you plan to attend Mass in-person this Sunday.
We continue to livestream our 10:00 AM Sunday Mass, reaching out to parishioners and friends who are in hospitals, in nursing homes or housebound. In addition, the availability of the livestream Sunday Mass is for those who may be pregnant, parents of unvaccinated children, immunocompromised and unvaccinated individuals. Here is the link to the livestream: Facebook Page of St. James Midtown KC. Recording of the livestreamed Mass can be accessed at https://stjkc.org/sundays-at-st-james.
This Sunday, November 24, is our Stewardship Appeal Commitment Sunday. Please bring your stewardship commitment card with you, and we will collect the cards during the offertory at Mass. Our goal is for 100% of parish households to turn in cards. If you can’t commit now, you can commit to praying for our parish over the next year. Attached to this email are the stewardship brochure and stewardship commitment card.
