February 16, 2025, is the 6th Sunday of Ordinary Time
We welcome everyone to our Sunday Mass at St. James at 10 a.m. Fr. Don Farnan will be our celebrant.
Considering that many parishioners are still suffering the effects of the COVID-19 virus and other infections, if you plan to join us in person, we recommend masking if you exhibit symptoms or are immune compromised.
We continue to live stream our 10:00 AM Sunday Mass, reaching out to parishioners and friends who can’t attend in person. Here is the link to the live stream on our Facebook page for St. James Midtown, KC. A recording of the live-streamed Mass can also be accessed at https://stjkc.org/sundays-at-st-james.
The next PARISH COMMUNITY MEETING is on this coming Sunday, Feb. 16, right after Mass. All are encouraged to attend. We plan to discuss whether we want to hire a full-time or part-time parish organizer, how it will impact our parish budget, and the need for additional revenues if we want to hire a full-time parish organizer. Childcare will be provided in the Children’s Room of the Narthex.
After Mass on Feb 9, Sr. Vicki Lictenauer shared her experience of helping her dad through his Alzheimer’s journey and the lessons learned from being a caregiver. Below is the link to the talk.
Join Trinity United Methodist Church in KCMO for their Civil Rights Pilgrimage! Revs. Tino Herrera and Scott Grotewold will lead this trip along the Civil Rights trail, with visits to Memphis, Jackson, Selma, Montgomery, and Birmingham Oct 19-25, 2025.
